I attended Wayne State University, where I completed a bachelors degree in 1979. I achieved some success as a computer programmer/analyst and then as a mental health counselor, but my PASSION is PHOTOGRAPHY.

I feel this is a gift from GOD I received a few years ago. I endeavor to bring out what is exquisite, beautiful or unusual in HIS creation.

In May of this year, 2014, I was invited to join a group project named "CONNECTED" which would be exhibited in the Grand Rapids, MI
ARTPRIZE for 2014 and then in several other venues around the country as well. My best friend Gary O., who is also passionate about
photography accompanied me on the drive to Grand Rapids during ARTPRIZE. The whole city was electric ! It was a temperate, beautiful
day when we attended. The downtown area was positively packed with art afficionados, walking all over town 'till their feet or legs could take
no more. When I saw my 3 foot canvas print of "SON Rise of HOPE" displayed beautifully on the tan brick wall in the Galleries at Bar Divani
@ 15 Ionia SW downtown, I felt an intense warmth in my heart. No, it wasn't heartburn, as some jokers may be thinking ! It was a new level
of confidence in myself as an artist and photographer. I would like to thank my Christian artist friend John M. for inviting me to
participate and my Pastors, Carl G. and Ron F. for their constant support and encouragement. Tammy T., the group leader of "CONNECTED" coordinated, worked, and travelled tirelessly for the project for the last several years. There is also no doubt that it was God's
blessing that I found the most fantastic fine art photography instructor in Marji S. , whose enthusiasm and passion for teaching were
essential for me to achieve this new level. And of course my partners in this life and the next, Ruth and Jesus Christ have facilitated this
confidence to come to full bloom. Thanks and Praise to the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
